Unveiling the Mughal Essence

A peek into the Mughal essence through Chikankari Embroidery and detailed paintings. As a part of my final art and research project in 12th grade, I explored old authentic Chikankari stores and learned the art of embroidery under the guidance of highly skilled artisans in that area. With each painting completed with meticulous detail, I attempted to evoke the exact essence of the Mughals. The final outcome of the embroidery was a table runner made entirely with Chikankari
stitches like Tepchi, Murri, and Jali.

Project Duration: 6 months.
Medium: poster colours and Anchor threads.
